We can press pause on our thinking and when we do we begin to experience the spaciousness of our awareness, the consciousness in which we perceive everything, including our thinking.
Try this today if it resonates. When you realise your attention has been lost in thinking, in that moment of realisation you may experience your thoughts stopping naturally, press pause then, which is to bring all your attention and focus to that which has been witnessing your thinking, your awareness. Then allow that moment of non-thinking to expand, perhaps for a second or two to begin with. Continue through out your day pressing pause.
This practice can help to bring a sense of calmness and make it easier to be more mindful and get into states of flow.
