Are you finding life too much, too fast, too stressful?

If so you may be on the way to burn out, or perhaps you feel you are already there?

If you recognise some of the behaviours you may be on the way to burn out, or perhaps you feel you are already there. Don't wait, take action today!

It is now known that stress is one of the most common components of the causes of DIS-EASE.  How much stress can be tolerated for each person is very individual and knowing your own window of tolerance can be key to recovering. The body is designed in a way to be able to cope with some stress each day, but when stress becomes prolonged over a period of time, then the effects can be devastating on the health and wellbeing of the individual, leading to burn out and potentially disease.

Are you already in burn out?

Let yourself be gently guided back into a state of balance using Sophrology

Burn out is when we are literally running on empty. Our adrenal glands, which are responsible for regulating our stress hormones, get totally depleted and we end up having shortages of adrenaline and so feel completely exhausted. It can be very frightening and simple tasks we used to take for granted, like going to work, taking the children to activities, or food shopping can just be impossible to do. It can be difficult to know where to start to bring back the feeling of BALANCE. Energy is something we often to take for granted, until it suddenly isn't there anymore.

For me, having gone through burn out and developed a chronic illness, I know coming back into balance is key to making a full recovery, and Sophrology can help in many ways from:

  • Learning to switch off, helping us get to sleep more effectively,

  • Being able to relax deeply and fully, we can start to sleep right through again,

  • We begin to access more head space which helps us to let go of anxiety,

  • As our internal system begins to regulate more effectively, our mood lifts and we see depression go,

  • Being more in balance we can more easily self-regulate, create the boundaries we need to stay well and healthy, know what is right for us and what to say no too,

  • We begin to tap into our own strengths, resources and capacities to increase our self-esteem and confidence, also our creative potential,

  • With all of the above, we begin to make better choices, healthier choices that serve to continue to build our resilience and move us forward on the road to full health and wellbeing.

Sophrology gives you some of the tools needed to help you regain your BALANCE, ENERGY and manage your stressors in a much more POSITIVE and RESILIENT way. The exercises are simple to do and I help guide you with the right ones for you, the right pace for you, so that you begin to reconnect with your body and have much more of an appreciation of how your mind effects your body.

I help women empower themselves to live a free, balanced and authentic life, using Sophrology.

Doctor Office

Have you just been diagnosed with a Chronic illness?

Perhaps you have been diagnosed with CFS/ME, MS, Cancer, Fibromyalgia, IBD, just some of the chronic illnesses that are on the rise with auto-immunity.

Feeling scared? Wondering what is next, how will you cope, will you recover, will you work?

So many questions that run through our head when we receive the news that we have a chronic condition.

Chronic Illness

After the shock, regaining space in your mind, finding balance and re-discovering yourself within the diagnosis can be vital to managing your condition or even to recover from it. When we start to prioritise ourselves, putting ourselves first by managing our own wellbeing, we begin to rebuild self-esteem, confidence and resilience. Sophrology can help you do that, through:

  • Learning how to respond to stressors more effectively

  • Regaining your energy

  • Sleeping more deeply

  • Removing anxiety

  • Increasing self-esteem and confidence

  • Improving resilience

  • Re-discovery of your strengths and values

  • Regaining a sense of optimism, positivity and fun

I believe there is a way to manage a chronic condition so that we can live a full and rewarding life. I also believe that it is totally possible to completely recover from a chronic condition. What we believe has a profound effect on our health and wellbeing and your mindset is incredibly powerful at creating your reality. Your thinking has a direct correlation with what happens in your body and your life.

Recovering from a chronic condition can take:

  • Radical honesty

  • Courage - the willingness to explore parts of our-self that have been hidden

  • The healing of old wounds and trauma

  • Allowing ourselves to feel all emotions however uncomfortable they may be

  • Learning to say no

  • Erecting healthy boundaries

  • Rediscovering who we really are

  • Knowing we are enough

  • Developing forgiveness and compassion for ourselves

  • Ultimately it is about returning to love, self-love

It can take the above changes, along with other changes such as diet and nutrition, checking your hormonal health - such as your thyroid, adrenals and the HPA Axis, improving Vagus Nerve tonality to improve gut-brain communication, changing your home or work environment, taking a good look at your relationships, lifestyle and pace, exercise and movement, emotional health and most importantly living your life purpose - what you were born to do. The Chrysallis Effect www.thechrysalliseffect.co.uk offer a comprehensive online course to help you through many of these areas, developed for those suffering with ME/CFS and Fibromyalgia and founded by two ladies who had fully recovered.

I can help you with either managing your condition or helping you on your journey to a full recovery as part of your team of Healthcare Practitioners. Contact me today for a free 20 minute consultation to find out how I can help you on 07884 101164 or email at info@beinharmony.co.uk.

"Since being diagnosed with cancer, I cannot express how Sophrology and with Carla's guidance has helped me. Sophrology has given me a method to work with helping me relax by bringing me into my own body to help create optimal health and well being. I use the techniques daily when negative thoughts arise, during hospital visits and my own journey of self awareness and discovery.

Carla is intuitive, empathic, caring, very professional in her approach and I trust her implicitly. She listens and connects with me. Carla uses her skills to put a proposed plan in place for our sessions and in each session connects in with me to determine what I need on the day. This has enabled me to grow in confidence and self trust when dealing with treatment and hospital visits.

Most Importantly I look forward to our sessions together. The sessions always bring me some new learning, insight, and techniques to build upon.

I cannot recommend Carla and Sophrology enough." Cath from Hartlepool
