Working With Me
Hi, I'm Carla and I look forward to working with you. I work with individuals on a one-to-one and a group basis both in person and online via Zoom, FaceTime or Skype. I also work with teams and individuals within organisations.
I take a person centered and holistic approach in my work with all clients
I am trauma informed, through my own training, working with clients with trauma and ACE (Adverse Childhood Experiences) and my own personal recovery from early childhood trauma experience.
My aim as a therapist is to provide you with the most specific and highly effective tools, which can be used anytime and anywhere, to help you develop a sense of resilience, confidence and empowerment in you being able to meet the demands of your life.
Utilising and blending all my skills, training and experience into each session, from the wide range of modalities that I am trained in, I can offer you targeted tools, techniques and perspectives, tailored to you, to help you overcome issues, transcend limitations and move forward in your life.
As an empathic, intuitive healing therapist, I tune into my clients energy to help to direct my approach. I am trained to not only listen to another but to sense and feel their experience with them. Empathy is one of those traits that goes along with being a highly sensitive person.
I work between the hours of 10am and 7.30pm, Monday to Friday, and Saturday morning from 9am to 12.30pm. However, I am flexible in meeting my clients needs so if you require help outside of these times please do ask.
Sessions are typically one hour, although maybe slightly longer for people with eating disorders, chronic illness or my 'Food & Freedom' clients.
I have regular supervision sessions for my clients with eating disorders.
I have my own Sophrology sessions with a practitioner to continue my own self development.
I regularly have CPD (Continued Professional Development) within all areas of my work to ensure I am up to speed with the latest developments in mind-body-spirit practices, including; neuroscience, mental and gut health, the impact of trauma, wellbeing initiatives, wellbeing in the workplace, the ability of nature, play and laughter to radically change our wellbeing state, the power of our own evolving consciousness to help elevate us towards our highest potential.
As an experienced facilitator of groups, I gently hold the space so each individual within the group is afforded what she needs to gentle transform.
Whether the session is online or in person I am experienced and intuitively able to gently guide the group into a state of group coherence to enable each individual to grow and flourish at her own pace.
Group sessions are a great way to see yourself in a new way through the eyes of others and hear yourself reflected back to you from what you hear and we do this as much as possible through the eyes of non-judgment, compassion and acceptance. It is a way to gain new insights and possibilities.
